I am the wife of a very talented musician who takes me around the world in pursuit of excellence. Mama to Jakob, Audrey and Ella, who just happens to have Down Syndrome.
And an aspiring disciple of Jesus, defender of the oppressed, writer, graphic designer and photographer.
I write and speak on navigating through the fog of life…you know, when things don’t go exactly as planned and am fuelled by a passion to amplify the voices of those on the margins…
oh, and coffee…lots of coffee.
There are few traditions that I love more than the Pumpkin Patch. I love everything about it from the muddy wellies, to the joy in Jakob’s eyes as he searches for the perfect pumpkin, being out on the farm and the crisp autumn weather. Last year while I completely loved Cambridge Autumn, they admittedly had no pumpkin patches. And while I love Butterfield Acres and encourage everyone in the Calgary area to go, it definitely turns going to the pumpkin into an ordeal. But here in BC, and it’s what I love about BC and my little town in particular, is that when the weather surprises you with a burst of sun, you can zip over to Westham Island and for no cost aside from the ridiculously cheap pumpkin have an afternoon of autumn fun.
