About Me

Hi, I’m Krista.

Strategic communicator and storyteller.

I am the wife of a very talented musician who takes me around the world in pursuit of excellence. Mama to Jakob, Audrey and Ella, who just happens to have Down Syndrome.
And an aspiring disciple of Jesus, defender of the oppressed, writer, graphic designer and photographer.

I write and speak on navigating through the fog of life…you know, when things don’t go exactly as planned and am fuelled by a passion to amplify the voices of those on the margins…
oh, and coffee…lots of coffee.

Dear Audrey,

Happy Birthday baby! It seems like only yesterday we were preparing for your arrival. You were a light in the midst of darkness. In a time of uncertainty and sorrow, you brought joy. I was so scared. I was scared because I didn’t know what the year would bring. I didn’t know where you would sleep or how I would care for you but here we are – one year later and we’re doing just fine. You are doing better than fine. You are so happy and you are so loved. Your brother and your sister love you so so so much and your Mommy and your Daddy love you so so so much. You have completed this family and we are so thankful that God placed you in our care.
