Hi, I’m Krista.

Strategic communicator and storyteller.

I am the wife of a very talented musician who takes me around the world in pursuit of excellence. Mama to Jakob, Audrey and Ella, who just happens to have Down Syndrome.
And an aspiring disciple of Jesus, defender of the oppressed, writer, graphic designer and photographer.

I write and speak on navigating through the fog of life…you know, when things don’t go exactly as planned and am fuelled by a passion to amplify the voices of those on the margins…
oh, and coffee…lots of coffee.

I’ve known Peter since college. He painted by basement suite when the textured wall thing was in – crazy guy. When we moved back to Three Hills and I heard that Peter was married I knew I needed to get to know his wife. It took some time to finally connect but once we did, we instantly became friends and have remained so ever since. That was when we both had one child.

7 years and 5 kids later, here we are. On Saturday, we met up in Lacombe to start the day right – with cannoli from Sweet Capone’s. From there, we headed over to Kraay Family Farms. I was a”mazed” by how much there was to do there. While their Corn Maze is the feature of the farm there are bounce pads, a grain train, playground, pig races, a corn cannon, ropes course, pedal carts and much more.

It’s definitely worth checking out before the season is over. They have switched to their fall hours and are open Tuesday-Thursday 4pm-8pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30am-9pm. For more information visit their website.
